Photo Gallery Menu

Photo opportunities are plentiful on any of our adventures. The galleries below feature many photos taken by our clients, as well as our own. They are designed to give you a good idea of what you'll see on your climb and safari, as well as what the experience is like.

CLIMB Gallery 1- FOREST TO ALPINE
From Forest to Alpine with two climate zones in between. This gallery will give you an idea of the types of terrain you can expect on your climb of Mount Kilimanjaro, from the forested beginning to the start of the alpine zone. (not necessarily in chronilogical order)
CLIMB Gallery 2 - ALPINE ZONE TO SUMMIT PUSH
Here you'll see examples of some of the types of Alpine terrain you'll pass through on Kilimanjaro, the Western Breach, Crater Camp and what the final summit push from Crater Camp looks like from the trail.
CLIMB Gallery 3 - SUMMIT AND DESCENT
The summit of Kilimanjaro at Uhuru Peak, what it looks like to arrive, and happy climbers having successfully reached the "Roof of Africa".
SAFARI Gallery 1- THE BIG FIVE AND MORE
Elephant, Rhino, Leopard, Lion and Cape Buffalo were named as the "Big Five" by hunters because they are the most difficult and dangerous to hunt on foot. But just as exciting can be the many others you will see on your safari, from the towering Giraffe to the common Thompson's Gazelle.

LOCAL CULTURE
While in East Africa take some extra time to visit local schools and villages. Interaction with these very friendly people can be some one of the most rewarding, memorable times you will bring back from your Climb and Safari experience.
SAFETY FIRST - Our PAC or PORTABLE ALTITUDE CHAMBER
At EOA Adventures, client and crew safety are paramount. We are the only locally based outfitter to have purchased our own PAC. This "Gamow" unit can save lives under threat of severe High Altitude Pulmonary or Cerebral Edema. Fortunately, we have only had to use it for training and maintenance. Here's what it looks like. More info can be found here.
